How BEAP fits into the accreditation picture

 

Both CSWE and Regional accrediting bodies require assessment of program outcomes

CSWE Accreditation Standard 8 addresses program assessment and continuous improvement

Each program must have an assessment plan that ensures:

• Each program objective is assessed
• Identification of specific measurement procedures and methods
• Assessment plan is implemented
• Data is used to affirm and improve program

Sound assessment principles recommend:

• Using Multiple methods of assessment
• Utilizing independent measures
• Employing measures with demonstrated validity and reliability
• Adopting measures which are nationally normed
• Engaging in ongoing, continuous assessment
